Privacy Policy

1 Purpose
August Entrepreneurship and our subsidiaries* (hereinafter referred to as “August Entrepreneurship,” “we,” or “us”) wish to give all users of our website the best possible experience with our digital solutions, and therefore, we use data concerning customers and users combined with information from third-party solutions.

August Entrepreneurship strives to protect all customer data collected on its website. We have procedures which attempt to ensure that all personal information is processed in accordance with law, both internally at Louis Poulsen and by our business partners.

This Privacy Policy specifies which data is collected, the purposes for which data is collected and used, how data is handled, and with whom data is shared. Finally, your options with regard to the use or updating of your data are also stated.

When you visit August Entrepreneurship’s websites, including herilight.com, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, as well as the commercial terms and conditions set forth on our websites, our terms and conditions of sale and delivery, our cookie policy, and other documents specified in Louis Poulsen’s Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy defines how we treat all individually identifiable information collected. August Entrepreneurship’s policies and practices regarding data and how we process it are described in further detail below.
Our Privacy Policy includes information about the collection and use of data that is gathered when August Entrepreneurship’s digital solutions are used; including our website, webshop, newsletters, customer surveys, competitions, and all digital platforms we use to register personal data.

2 Responsibility

August Entrepreneurship is responsible for the purpose and means of the processing of data, and we, therefore, reserve the right to protect your information in accordance with law.

August Entrepreneurship will process the personal information and data described in this Privacy Policy. Louis Poulsen is the data controller, and as the data controller, we will treat all information we collect in accordance with law.

3 What data we collect
August Entrepreneurship wishes to protect our customers’ and users’ privacy, regardless of which digital solutions are used, so the collection and storage of data are adapted to the solution used.

3.1 Automatically collected data
August Entrepreneurship’s digital solutions are based on various technologies for enhanced ease of use and security. These technologies collect data automatically through various methods, including cookies and analysis of clickstream data.

3.1.1 Cookies
Cookies are small text files containing letters and numbers, which are placed on your computer or other devices when you visit a website and can be used to track pages you visit and to help you continue where you left off, or to remember your language settings or other preferences.

3.1.2 Clickstream data

All visits to a digital solution require information to be sent from your browser to a server. By analyzing this data, August Entrepreneurship can optimize our digital solutions. Data is collected via third parties on our behalf.
Data about your visits to our site can be collected for system administration and internal marketing-related analyses. This data is statistical information concerning users’ behaviour with the digital solutions.

This may also include information that you share with us via Facebook and other social media outlets, by participating in a sweepstakes, drawings and other competition, or in connection with any registration to receive newsletters from August Entrepreneurship. Information may also be submitted to August Entrepreneurship in connection with customer service or support inquiries.

August Entrepreneurship reserves the right to use new technologies that may arise in the future that may provide similar or different personal data than what is currently being collected. In the event that August Entrepreneurship does use a new technology that provides similar or different personal data than what is currently being collected, August Entrepreneurship will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

4. Use and storage of the collected data
4.1 Purpose of collection

Execution of orders in the online shop, including basket function, payment, checking of card data, etc.

4.2 Storage
The information is stored for the statutory period of time, and we delete information that is no longer required. The period of time depends on the nature of the information and the reason that it is stored. Unless it is deleted by request, information for electronic marketing purposes is retained for a maximum of 12 months after we last used this information.

4.3 Property of August Entrepreneurship
August Entrepreneurship may use information you voluntarily provide to us to provide a better experience. Any suggestions made to us shall become our property. Additionally, any testimonials or reviews of products and/or services given to us shall become the property of August Entrepreneurship. By submitting any suggestions, testimonials, reviews and the like, you agree that it shall become the property of August Entrepreneurship and we may use the suggestions, testimonials, reviews and the like without any further compensation to you.

5 Disclosure of information

5.1 In general
August Entrepreneurship will only disclose customer information to a third party in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We may disclose your information if we are subject to a request or demand to forward or share data in order to comply with a legal obligation. Disclosure may also take place as instructed by a court of law or another authority, or to protect the trademarks, rights, property, or security of August Entrepreneurship. This may entail the exchange of information with other companies and organizations for the purpose of protection against fraud.

August Entrepreneurship uses service providers and data processors which operate on our behalf. The services may, for example, comprise server hosting and system maintenance, analysis, payment solutions, control of addresses and credit standing, email service, etc. These business partners may be given access to data to the extent necessary in order to provide their services and solutions. The business partners will be contractually obligated to treat all data as strictly confidential and will not be permitted to use data for other purposes than pursuant to its contractual obligation to August Entrepreneurship

We may transfer information about you if August Entrepreneurship is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event,August Entrepreneurship will attempt to provide notification before information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5.2 Special information concerning Google Analytics

August Entrepreneurship currently uses Google Analytics as the web analysis tool in our digital solutions. Web analysis data is sent from our digital solutions for analysis in the service offered by Google. Google Analytics functions as the “data processor” of the data, and August Entrepreneurship as the “data controller” of the data; and August Entrepreneurship’s data may only be disclosed by agreement or in order to comply with legal requirements.

5.3 Retargeting technologies

Our websites use retargeting technologies. This gives us the opportunity to advertise directly to our visitors on other websites. Based on their interest in visiting our websites, we believe that the display of personal interest-based advertising is more interesting for our customers than ads that may not relate to their personal interests.

We also work together with partners that use tracking technologies to display digital ads on our behalf. These partners may collect information about your visits to our digital solutions and your interaction with our communication, including advertising.

Unless you affirmatively opt-out of receiving additional communications, we reserve the right to communicate with you from time to time using various methods to present offers regarding August Entrepreneurship that we think may be of interest to you.

6 Security
We have adopted internal information security rules with instructions and measures to protect your personal data from being destroyed, lost, or changed; from unauthorized publication; and from unauthorized persons’ access to or knowledge of this data.

We have established procedures for granting access rights to those of our employees who process sensitive personal data and data that reveals information concerning personal interests and habits. We control their actual access through logging and supervision. To avoid loss of data, we regularly backup our data sets. We also use encryption to protect the confidentiality and authenticity of your data.

Although August Entrepreneurship uses commercially reasonable methods to secure personal data it may collect about you, there can be no guarantee of absolute security from third party criminal interference or other such unwelcomed intrusions to data we collect. In the event of an unauthorized intrusion into our data, we will take the steps as required by applicable Turkey law regarding the proper notifications.

7 Rights
7.1 You are in control

When you provide information to August Entrepreneurship, you do so on a voluntary basis. There may be services and functions, such as the execution of an order placed via our webshop, that will only function if you have chosen to give us access to personal information. We offer our customers and users the opportunity to retain control over their data, such as by providing the option to delete accounts and registration for digital services.

You can send us an email or a letter if you require information into which data is registered. See our contact details at the bottom of this document. At no charge, you have the right to receive one copy of the personal data that we process concerning you.Access to the disclosure of information may be limited, however, in order to protect other persons’ privacy as well as business secrets and intellectual property rights.

Please also note that August Entrepreneurship interacts with digital solutions to external media with their own privacy policies which lie beyond August Entrepreneurship’s control. We recommend that you keep yourself informed of the current policies of these external media.

7.2 Withdrawal of registration and objection
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.
If you receive emails with marketing content and wish to cease receiving these emails, click on the “unsubscribe” link in the email, after which you will no longer receive any further marketing material sent to the email address in question. If you would like to unsubscribe from all marketing material, whether it is digital or analog, you must contact August Entrepreneurship in writing, marking your correspondence “protection of personal information.” We may request further documentation to comply with your request and to verify your identity, such as a copy of your driver’s license or passport. Any related costs to opt-out and to comply with our requirements are not covered by August Entrepreneurship and are your responsibility.

Personal data for use in connection with service and administrative inquiries may also be cancelled by contacting Louis Poulsen (see above), which will then delete the user manually.

7.3 Verification and updating of information
You may have your personal data which is registered by August Entrepreneurship updated, supplemented, blocked, or deleted by complying with current law. If we are unable to comply with your request, you will be informed within a reasonable period of time.

8 Updating this policy
August Entrepreneurship will comply with applicable law regarding privacy and data protection. We update this policy on an ongoing basis, based on any changes in law, and to ensure that this policy reflects the current digital solutions that we offer to our customers. Significant changes will be announced via our website and may also be communicated by email.

Refunds and Return Policy

Our policy lasts thirty (30) days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot guarantee you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in an unused condition and must be in the products original packaging.

There are situations where a refund may be declined, or only partial refund granted (if applicable)

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to August Entrepreneurship’s error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after purchase

  1. Ensure a copy of your original invoice is emailed to the team and/or placed inside the package been redelivered.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received August Entrepreneurship will inspect the goods, we will either contact you by phone or send an email to notify you that the goods have been received. We will also notify you of the approval to refund.

If a refund is approved August Entrepreneurship will require details or your original method of payment. This will require you to provide either your Credit Card number, or Bank details (BSB & Account #). Once these details have been provided a payment into your account will be made within seven (7) days.

To complete the process August Entrepreneurship will provide (by email) a copy of an eftpos refund docket, or payment remittance.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund first check your bank account again. Bank transfer refunds can take up to three (3) days to process.

Please note that refund payments made to your credit card companies may take up to seven (7) days for this refund to be officially processed.
